Starting of with the idea to create a tall floor lamp with minimum material usage. The result of the project ended up having resemblance to the shape of a giraffe. The light, organic appearance of birch enhances the natural design, also somehow reflecting both form and material similar to a GIRaf. The animal, well known for it’s calmness and gentle presence. By adding a soft rounded lamp shade made from rice paper a diffused light appears evenly across the room.
